What People Are Saying - Client Testimonials

“I began therapy with Beau at a time when I really wasn't sure if therapy was the right choice for me. I was struggling with a lot of big questions- the viability of my relationship, how to recover from trauma, stress over classes and graduation, and more. I was nervous to open up to a new person and I hadn't had much progress with therapy in the past. Not only were we able to work through these issues, but we also did a lot of work that I didn't know I needed. I always felt heard, respected, and appropriately challenged (which I needed quite a bit). Now, almost 3 years later, I still have the tools I need to confront new challenges and anxieties.”

“Beau was able to help me navigate a difficult time in my life and worked with me to reach the point where I was able to use the skills I learned to make a positive difference in my life. I appreciate the patience and honesty Beau has and the ability to help me recognize my own patterns and gain the confidence to make beneficial choices for myself.”

“Beau has helped change how I work through difficult emotions, how to look at things from different perspectives, all while validating and supporting me. I learn something valuable every session.”

“Beau was the first therapist I worked with during a personal crisis and transitional period in my life, and there is many reasons why I have chosen to continue working with him for over two years. As a woman in her 20s, I was very scared to start therapy thinking that I may find a therapist (especially a male therapist) to be too out of touch or unrelatable with young women. Early on, Beau was disarming and was immediately able to help me open up at a time when it felt impossible. He helped me navigate tools to calm and ground myself during time of panic and strong emotions, revealed patterns in my negative thinking, and allowed me space to just complain when I felt I couldn't share with anyone else. I feel very comfortable and heard with Beau. One of his greatest strengths is remembering all of the "side characters" and their personalities in my life, and he has been great at helping me navigate how I manage my own mindset around my relationships with them. Beau has been specifically great at helping me manage my mindset, routine, and difficult conversations at work and in my career, even though I know it's probably not the most fun thing to talk about as a therapist. Beau has always met where I'm at with grace, kindness, and humor.”

I honestly feel very lucky to have found Beau, as I know many friends who have struggled to find a good therapist for years. I can’t speak highly enough of Beau’s understanding and help to work through a variety of challenges and mental health issues. It has been an overwhelmingly positive experience that has changed my life for the better. He has helped me move towards my goals, improve relationships, and question how I can think more positively while also being honest with myself. Also love that he gets my sense of humor and likes to throw some in himself. He’s very caring and incredibly easy to talk to - couldn’t recommend more!”

“I've had a hard time in the past sticking with therapy because I usually don't feel like it helps me. Beau has consistently made me feel like I'm improving and becoming a better person. There have been times where my mental health has dropped and I got worse, but Beau helped me work through those times and more so understand them.”

“I have experience with Beau from two angles.  One is as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner.  I have made many referrals of patients to him over the last few years and have been so pleased with the care he provides to my patients.  I have never had a patient come back and tell me they had a poor experience.  I think he is especially skilled at working with kids and young adults.  He can really meet them at their level and be relatable to them.  He builds strong relationships with patients that last allowing him to build on the skills he is teaching his clients.  The second angle is as a parent to two of his clients, my sons.  One of my boys has OCD and anxiety and the other one has anxiety related to his food allergy.  Both of them have seen Beau as clients and have been discharged from his care because he was really able to help them work through their struggles!  Both of my boys speak so highly of Beau and often reference skills that he taught them to use when their mental health isn't feeling the best.  Counseling with Beau is more than talk therapy, although my boys really felt comfortable to share their thoughts and feelings with Beau.  He really focused on interventions that my boys could use when their anxiety was triggered.  He helped them to identify their triggers and build on skills to manage the anxiety they experienced from the triggers.  I want to share a particularly special day with my oldest son who was probably about 13 year old at the time.  He loves baseball but going up to bat in a baseball game really triggers his OCD.  A huge barrier to him performing in a game he loves.  Beau brought his baseball glove to one of his sessions and asked my son to bring his bat and a baseball.  Beau spent an hour in the parking lot of his office pitching the ball to my son teaching him how to talk himself through this difficult activity.  Taught him the motions and self talk he needed to use when he goes up to bat.  During this session, I knew Beau wasn't the average-everyday therapist.  He is one of a kind who really invests in helping his clients thrive!  I can never say thank you enough for his time with my own boys and the countless patients of mine he has helped.”
